Spring is springing and Brooke + Glenn are married! There’s no better way to kick off the season than at the Downtown Club with this charming couple (who you may remember from their engagement session when we hijacked a boat). Our bride and groom come from wonderfully close families, each kind and warm. And I swear, these two did not take their eyes off each other even once after that first look. From start to finish these two enjoyed a beautifully bright and perfectly appointed wedding day here in the city of brotherly love.
Brooke and Glenn had both their ceremony and reception at the Downtown Club in Old City Philadelphia — another beautiful Cescaphe venue featuring modern styling and a magnificent cocktail spread (a signature feature of any Cescaphe event). We started the day at the 18th Century Garden, where our bride and groom had a very sweet first look, and then took off down the parkway for some sunny shots at everyone’s favorite art museum.
Between her flowers and her bridesmaid dresses, Brooke chose a wonderfully vibrant palette of turquoise and purple, which really popped against the Downtown Club’s bright white spaces. They wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony under the breezy white canopy of their delicate chuppah, expertly decorated by one of our favorite florists, Beautiful Blooms. And after the business was taken care of, they and their guests retired to the ballroom to break bread, dance the hora, and even enjoy a surprise serenade from our groom to his new wife. Brooke and Glenn executed an expertly choreographed first dance, which culminated in the petal canon, the noise of which only scared me half to death, despite the fact that I knew it was coming.
Congratulations to Brooke + Glenn, who are off enjoying a truly adventurous honeymoon through Australia and Fiji — certainly fitting for the world travelers that they are.
