After days and days of nonstop rain, as Annemarie sat in the makeup chair in her hotel suite looking out over city hall, patches of blue sky started to peek through the gray. The clouds receded between the buildings of the Philadelphia skyline and we all did a little victory dance.
Annemarie + Justin opted for the traditional, not seeing each other until Annemarie took her walk down the aisle at St. Patrick’s. The look on Justin’s face as he craned to see his bride is one I’ll never forget. During the ceremony, they whispered to each other and exchanged quiet smiles, and my heart damn near exploded.
After church, our portrait session was unencumbered and easygoing. Annemarie + Justin needed little posing or prompting from me, and their tiny bridal party meant we could focus on getting lots of really great portraits of just the two of them. Justin’s brother chauffeured us on a mini tour of the city, first to the University of Pennsylvania, then to the Rodin Museum before finally arriving at the College of Physicians for their reception.
You can tell from the way they look at each other and the effortlessness between them that they are a perfect pair. Congratulations to Annemarie + Justin!
