We had an anniversary in September, so we took a trip to one of Greg’s favorite places, Martha’s Vineyard. He’s been to the Vineyard many times with his friends for weeks of intense fishing, but this time it was just the two of us. I haven’t spent much time hanging out with him while he fishes since we were wee teenagers skipping school; it was a lovely déjà vu. It also provided an opportunity for me to reflect on what has been one of the best summers I’ve ever had.
